Bauhaus being benign – Gender meets Eco
Evenemanget har redan ägt rum.
Julia Meer, a designer and design historian based in Berlin, gives insights into the working process of the book ›Women in Graphic Design 1890–2012 (2018). The book sets out to make the contributions of women to graphic design more visible and at the same time explains why they haven’t been part of the canon so far.
The discussion continues with a talk between Julia Lohmann, designer and Professor of Practice in Contemporary Design at Aalto University, and Julia Meer on how the situation of women has changed in the past 100 years, and what challenges we are facing today. They will also explore parallels to the eco design discourse. The event is in English.
